Statue of RYOMA SAMAMOTO in TOSA INARI (Misaki Shrine*)

Along the Takase river from Shoji to Sanjo street, there are many historical spots of BAKUMATSU period (the last days of TOKUGAWA shogunate).

The monument of the former residence of TOSA domain is one of them. The residence is famous for the deep connection with Sir.

RYOMA SAKAMOTO, the hero of all time in Japan, for his frequent visits with his comrades.

Nearby the monument, a small shrine called TOSA INARI (Misaki shrine) is located.

This shrine is also very famous for the connection with RYOMA, since it was located within the TOSA domain premises during Edo era. Since the shrine is one of the sanctuaries for RYOMA enthusiasts, you will come across those people all the time around the shrine.

The benefit of the shrine is said to be various from preventing fire, sweeping away misfortunes, and/or making your dream come true. Wow, that's great! Moreover, there is a statue of RYOMA! Though it’s rather small in size, his expression is truly brave and gallant.

Please visit TOSA INARI in pretty YUMEYAKATA Kimono and take pictures with the hero, RYOMA! AKANE KIBUNE TOSA INARI (Misaki Shrine)*: Misaki Shrine is its official name and is commly called as TOSA INARI.
