Mt. Hiei was clearly seen today from the window of the 2nd story of my parents’ house in Nishijin district. I don’t know why but I every time I see Mt. Hiei, I feel relieved
Speaking about Mt. Hiei, the view of it from Myoman-Ji temple main hall in Iwakura district is also extremely beautiful. Myoman-Ji is a Nichiren buddhism temple with its own long history and very famous for its garden.
The garden is referred to as Snow Garden and is listed as one of the three divine gardens in Kyoto, along with other two such as Moon Garden and Flower Garden.
If you want to see Moon Garden, well, let’s visit Kiyomizudera Jyojuin. The Flower Garden doesn’t exist anymore but is said once to be somewhere around Kitano district.
The landscape of Snow Garden holds decent My. Hiei in its background, and the view is just amazing. This time the Snow Garden was actually in fresh greenery, but somehow I felt I was new again. I guess gardens have certain healing effects. I earnestly recommend you to visit such gardens.
