Illumination event presenting the world of fireflies and Japanese traditional handcrafts are being held at Kyoto Aquarium!
At Kyoto Aquarium, the “Mountain Village (Kyo no Yamazato)” area is lit-up with green illuminations making fantastical atmosphere of a night in country greenery. The lights of fireflies are expressed by using small light bulbs and exhibited with various bamboo arts uniquely developed in Kyoto. In the “River in Kyoto (Kyo no Kawa)” area, the luminaries of firefly lights are dancing in the dark.
