Mt. Hiei (比叡山) was clearly seen today from the window of the 2nd floor of my parents’ house in the Nishijin (西陣) district. The mountain always makes me feel home.

The view of Mt. Hiei from Myoman-Ji temple (妙満寺) main hall in the Iwakura (岩倉) district is also very beautiful. Myoman-Ji is a temple of Nichiren (日蓮) buddhism with long history and very famous for the beauty of its garden.

The garden is referred to as Snow Garden and listed as one of the three divine gardens in Kyoto, along with other two, such as Moon Garden and Flower Garden of other temples.

If you want to see the Moon Garden, please visit Kiyomizudera temple (清水寺). The Flower Garden once existed in the Kitano (北野) district, but not anymore.

The landscape of Snow Garden holds decent My. Hiei in its background, and the view is just magnificent. This time, there was no snow in the Snow Garden but a beautiful fresh greenery. It was also nice.

I guess strolling in gardens have certain healing effects. I earnestly recommend you to visit such places.
