One day in hot summer

Summer in Kyoto is intolerable hot!

However I cannot give way to extreme hot weather.

I strolled about the city. First, in the morning I visited Honen-in Temple. I felt myself purified when I saw mounds of white sand called "Byakusadan" there.

And I went to Nishijin area to eat lunch. I visited Jofuku-ji Temple. I was relieved to receive cool wind in the shade of linden trees in front of the main hall of the temple.

The sake in lotus tasting event was just being held. Participant enjoyed Japanese sake served in a lotus leaf in place of sake cup using its stem as a straw. It happily gives a blessing to perpetual youth and longevity.

I cannot give way to extreme hot weather.

During hot summer days, in Kyoto there are a lot of nice places to visit.
