They are called "Goshuincho". Here's a black calligraphy and vermilion ink written by a monk. Aren't they beautiful?

Upon your visit to shrines and temples in Japan, you can bring a goshuincho seal book and collect stamps.

Here's how you can collect "goshuin" seal. You can go to a place with a sign says "Goshuin" and hand your goshuin book to a monk/priest. They write the name of the temple/shrine and date using traditional Japanese calligraphy, and stamp with the temple/shrine seal. They write so carefully and heartily, and watching them, I'm sure you'll feel so calm and peaceful.
