Star Festival at Kamigamo Shrine

Kamigamo Shrine is formally called “the Kamo-wakeikazuchi Jinja.” It is located in the direction of northeast of the Imperial Palace, or “the demon’s gate.” It is a prestigious shrine which has guarded the capital since ancient times.

At the Kamigamo Shrine there are Star festival decorations. Slips of colored paper with prayers written on them and slips with the shape of Asarum caulescenes are swayed by the cool wind. Kamigamo Shrine is the place which I can feel refreshed.

Why don’t you go there in yukata of YUMEYAKATA?
